Crazy Horse Family Elder Floyd Clown and author William Matson discuss and sign their book “Crazy Horse The Lakota Warrior’s Life and Legacy” based on the Family’s oral history. Photo is of Crazy Horse’s first cousin, Spotted Elk or also known as Bigfoot. Learning that Spotted Elk was leading many Crazy Horse relatives and was a relative himself, the 7th cavalry disarmed them and then massacred them including the women, children, and elders. Then called it a battle and handed out over 20 Congressional Medals of Honor for bravery to their cavalry. This narrative needs to be corrected so that all understand it to be the massacre that it really was in our history books.
