Can you believe it’s already almost the Fourth of July? We’ve been having so much fun checking off things on our Not a Bummer Summer Checklist that it feels like this summer just is flying by!

The 4th of July lands on a Tuesday this year so you will have lots of opportunities to see an awesome fireworks display between now and then. Many of our local towns and municipalities have scheduled their fireworks display between June 24th – July 4th, 2017.

Here is the schedule of upcoming fireworks events in the Northern Illinois:

June 24th:

Hinckley:  Saturday, June 24th at dusk at Hinckley-Big Rock High School. More info can be found HERE.

June 25th:

Belvidere:  Sunday, June 25th at 9pm at the Boone County Fairgrounds during the Heritage Days Festival.  More info HERE.

June 30th:

Cary: Friday, June 3oth at dusk at Lions Park, 2100 Silver Lake Rd. More info HERE.

July 1st:

Amboy: Saturday, July 1st at dusk. During the Amboy Fireworks Family Event.  More info HERE.

Loves Park: Saturday, July 1st and Monday, July 3rd, at the Rockford Speedway after the races. More info HERE. no fireworks on July 4th.

July 2nd:

Crystal Lake: Sunday, July 2nd at dusk at Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Drive. More info HERE.

Freeport: Sunday, July 2nd at dusk at the Stephenson County Fairgrounds. More info HERE.

Rochelle: Sunday, July 2nd at the Rochelle Airport. More info HERE.

Rock Valley College: Sunday, July 2nd at 8:00pm during the RSO ComEd Independence Day Spectacular. (Adults $30, Seniors & Students $29) More info HERE.

July 3rd:

Beloit, WI: Monday, July 3rd, after the Beloit Snappers Game at Pohlman Field. More info HERE.

Davis Junction: Monday, July 3rd. Fireworks and movie in the park at Davis Junction Community Park. More info HERE.

Hanover: Monday, July 3rd, at dusk during Hanover Days in downtown Hanover. More info HERE.

Loves Park: Saturday, July 1st and Monday, July 3rd, at the Rockford Speedway after the races. More info HERE. no fireworks on July 4th.

July 4th:

Beloit, WI: Tuesday, July 4th, at dusk, Pop on the Rock fireworks at Riverside Park.

Byron:  Tuesday, July 4th the Community Fireworks Display will be at the Byron Dragway. More info HERE.

Cherry Valley: (UPDATE 6/30) Tuesday, July 4th at dusk at Baumann Park. More info HERE.

Due to the recent weather, all that rain, Baumann Park has been closed.  Our Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks will still take place but unfortunately there will not be any parking in Baumann Park this year to view the fireworks.   The Kishwaukee River at Baumann Park has crested and much of the park is now underwater and unsafe. 

We hope you still enjoy our parade and fireworks display and we wish you a safe and happy Fourth of July!

You may park at the Southeast parking lot of the Cherry Vale Mall. The fireworks should be visible from that location. The closing will be strictly enforced to ensure everyone’s safety.

Mt. Morris: Tuesday, July 4th at dusk at the DLR Jr High during the Mt Morris Let Freedom Ring Festival. More info HERE.

Rockford: Tuesday, July 4th at 9:30pm over downtown Rockford. Davis Park Premium Viewing Area opens at 4pm. More info HERE.

Rockford Country Club: Tuesday, July 4th at dusk during the 4th of July Celebration.

Stockton: Tuesday, July 4th at Stockton Memorial Park, during Stockton’s Annual 4th of July Celebration. More info HERE.
